Our corporate team consists of lawyers with plenty of experience in international transactions, in particular looking after UK clients who are buying or selling businesses or setting up operations overseas.
Recent international experience includes buying a large manufacturing group based in America for a UK Plc, buying companies in France and America for a UK head-quartered multinational IT company, selling a UK based business to America, advising on a Chinese joint venture with a UK based client, setting up overseas offices or subsidiary companies in multiple jurisdictions, including Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East, advising a UK based Plc on an international approach for their shares and selling a private equity backed company to an international buyer through an auction process.
The team has assisted and advised, including on strategic matters, boards of directors on how to approach international deals, regarding due diligence exercises and data rooms. In addition, the corporate team takes a pro-active approach to looking for deals that may assist their clients, no matter where that deal may lie globally – it is part of the added value service the team prides itself on.
